Parton House is arguably
the 'jewel in the crown' of the Cedar Trust
homes. It is situated in the
village of Churchdown, half way between
Cheltenham and Gloucester.
Set back off the road, it stands in its
own extensive grounds, adjoined
by community playing fields and
allotments, giving the residents an
ever changing vista, and a safe
place to walk, if they choose.
Recently extended and refurbished, the home offers
36 bedrooms,
each of which is single occupancy and has en-suite facilities of at
least
toilet and wash basin. Many rooms also have either a bath or
a walk-in
shower.
In addition Parton House has several assisted bathroom
facilities including
walk-in shower rooms and Parker baths. The
bedrooms are on both the ground and first floors,
and can be accessed via a passenger lift.
Residents may choose to spend their time in the spacious
lounge,
overlooking the garden, or in many other areas, for example the
library,
TV lounge, cinema, dining room (with tea and coffee making facilities
for visitors), or even the reception room if they want private visits.
A
large level patio leading from the dining room and main lounge offers
an extra choice in warmer weather. The hairdresser who visits weekly
works from a purpose-built hairdressing salon situated close to the
communal areas. A unique feature at Parton House is the cinema
where
residents can enjoy film shows and televised sporting events.
Parton House is able to offer long term
elderly care, respite care
and day care. |
