All staff believe that every
person is an
individual and as such is unique. They
are part of a network
of friends, family
and acquaintances, and hold many
different roles
within this network.
Regard and consideration for these
roles must
be shown when planning
care for the person.
Each individual has the right to a key
worker who will form a close
relationship with the resident as they
plan the care to be delivered
and also
the right to involve family or friends in
their care if they
wish.
The individual has the right to decide
who may have access to their
personal
details and the absolute right to expect
those people to treat
this information
as confidential. |
|
All staff understand that every
resident
must have the opportunity to make
choices, and, therefore,
must be given
all the information necessary to enable
decision making.
Such information must
be made available in a format which is
easily
understood by the individuals.
All staff acknowledge that residents have
the right to expect a high
standard of
care, delivered by safe, competent team
members.
All staff accept that, in achieving the aim
of enabling residents
to lead as full a life
as possible, there may be some
element of risk
involved for the resident. |
